How to become an auditor
Do you dream of a career in auditing, accounting and advisory?
Then Christensen Kjærulff could be your next workplace. Each year in September, we hire a group of audit trainees who begin their education and career journey together on the path to becoming auditors.
It is a journey with promising future opportunities. If you choose to become an audit trainee at Christensen Kjærulff, you can look forward to joining a firm that offers a flexible workday and a strong sense of community.
How do you become
an auditor?
When you start your career as an auditor at CK, you will take part in an onboarding programme that includes both professional and social elements.
We expect that you may come from an educational background such as HHX, STX, Financial Management, Financial Bachelor or HA, and the next step in your journey will depend on the education you bring with you.
What is it like to be
a trainee at CK?
When you start your career as an auditor at CK, you will take part in an onboarding programme that includes both professional and social elements.
We believe there is great value in trainees building a strong sense of community, as we see this as the foundation for strong professional development. Throughout the trainee programme you will therefore work closely with your fellow trainees, while also becoming an equal colleague alongside the other colleagues in your department.
“Being a trainee at CK means a steep learning curve — both professionally and socially. You are assigned a mentor who guides you and helps you with the tasks you are given. This person acts as a sparring partner. Before long, however, you become the one structuring your own workday and tasks, which is really great.”
– Laurits Reinholdt Jepsen, who has recently completed HD Part 1
What do we expect from you?
No one expects you to know everything from day one. With curiosity and a willingness to learn, you will go far. Balancing a full-time job with part-time studies can be challenging, and we make a strong effort to support you along the way. At the same time, we expect you to take responsibility and approach your work with ambition.
The application process
…is simple. When the application period opens in September, you submit your application, CV and any other relevant documents.
Selected candidates are invited to a screening interview with HR where you will have the opportunity to elaborate on your motivation for becoming a trainee. Afterwards, selected candidates are invited to a personal interview with representatives from the department where there is considered to be a match.
If you have questions about the trainee programme, you are welcome to contact HR.
