Carina

Meet Carina

Carina is one of our talented trainees at CK. In her daily life, she combines full-time work with her studies and participation in various courses. Her everyday routine is a balance between school, work, and social activities.

Even at a young age, Carina knew she wanted to become an accountant. In the 9th grade, she completed an internship at a local accounting firm, where she was given small fictional cases to solve. The combination of structure and problem-solving immediately caught her interest.

“Even back then, I could already feel that there was an accountant in me. I have always had a natural drive to create structure, and at the same time, the close dialogue with clients is something that really motivates me,” Carina explains, adding: “It also runs a bit in the family, as several members of my family are accountants.”

When she started as a trainee, she was welcomed with a structured onboarding program and a trainee manager who acted as her mentor. “It’s like having a buddy who guides you along the way,” she explains.

The social aspect has also been an important part of the experience. Together with the other trainees, she participated in the traditional team-building trip and has joined several Friday social gatherings. “You quickly become part of the community,” she says with a smile.

“It’s a steep learning curve, and I can feel that I’m developing all the time.”

Her daily routine is well structured. She works from 08:30 to 16:30, with slightly shorter hours on Fridays. In addition to work, she attends CBS a couple of times a week, where she takes an extra course to ease the workload in the future.

For Carina, it’s about being strategic and having the capacity to fully immerse herself in her tasks — especially during the busy reporting period.

Carina has big ambitions. She dreams of pursuing a Master’s degree in Accounting and Auditing (cand.merc.aud.) and perhaps one day becoming a state-authorized public accountant. For now, however, she takes things as they come and focuses on learning as much as possible.

“Working at CK has really challenged me and given me the opportunity to grow. I’ve learned so much in a short time, and it has truly been a steep learning curve. There are many different tasks, and that’s exactly what makes it exciting to be a trainee at CK,” Carina explains. She adds that her colleagues in the department have been very welcoming and supportive in helping her get introduced to the professional aspects of the job.
